Pollinator Stewardship Council’s general policy is to not sue individual land owners or applicators, but rather to use legal strategies to influence federal policies that regulate pesticide applications. The ONLY way to correct an errant EPA decision they choose not to re-evaluate is by filing a Legal Petition through the Federal Appeals Court. The Pollinator Stewardship Council would utilize the same legal avenue used by other agricultural commodity groups. The legal system requires actions such as petitions and appeals be filed by individuals, industry groups, and others who feel their concerns are not being satisfactorily addressed in relation to federal regulations.
Because the law governing pesticide use—the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)—can only be addressed via the petition process, Pollinator Stewardship Council will NOT receive any monetary recoveries from the legal actions we instigate. This is why your generous donation is crucial to the effectiveness of this effort.
The Pollinator Stewardship Council is an organization conceived by the American Honey Producers Association (AHPA). The Pollinator Stewardship Council provides support to beekeepers and pollinators by ensuring enforcement of pesticide laws and regulations and providing guidance and tools to defend pollinators. We also provide legal support to beekeepers in select cases, and work to raise awareness about potential adverse impacts of pesticides on pollinators important to the supply of food.
Your contribution will help Pollinator Stewardship Council protect vulnerable pollinators. Thank you for your essential donation to this nonprofit organization.
